An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Israeli wheeled armored personnel carrier Eitan (8x8) from Hobby Boss in 1:35 scale. The set combines well-shaped plastic with photo-etched parts for fine details (grilles, small features) and rubber tires. The hatches and accessories make it possible to build a faithful model of a contemporary combat vehicle.
The Eitan is the newest generation of wheeled armored vehicles of the Israeli ground forces. It combines high mobility on an 8x8 chassis with pronounced ballistic and mine protection and it is conceived for carrying an infantry squad safely on the modern battlefield. It carries a remotely operated weapon station and serves as a complement to tracked vehicles where strategic and tactical mobility under its own power is desirable.
With wheeled armored vehicles it is best to assemble the chassis and the wheel suspension first and only then to close the hull up. Bond the photo-etched grilles with super glue. For the Israeli desert look a uniform sand base works well, then unified with a filter and brought out with a wash into the recesses; pigments will finish the dust and mud on the tires and the underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
