An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Fieseler Fi-156 C-3 Storch liaison aircraft in its winter ski-equipped configuration, in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The large scale allows a rich rendering of the details of the tube frame structure and of the glazed cabin.
The Fieseler Fi-156 Storch was a German liaison and observation aircraft with outstanding takeoff and landing qualities, able to take off and land in very short distances. In the Second World War it served the Wehrmacht and the Luftwaffe as an aerial taxi for senior officers, as a reconnaissance machine and as an air ambulance. In the ski-equipped version it operated in winter and snow-covered conditions.
Assemble and paint the glazed cabin and the interior before closing the fuselage up, and protect the glazing with a mask. Use liquid cement for plastic on the joints and lay the camouflage on with an airbrush over a primer. A gloss varnish before the decals is recommended so that they settle without silvering, and a matte varnish at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
