The casting 1:35 Fireman N°2 follows on from the first number of the same group. It is sold as one figure in modeling resin, unglued and without paint. The numbering of the line is practical: you can buy the figures gradually and widen the scene according to how much room is left on the base.
A pair of figures can tell a story. One firefighter is working, the other looks on or faces elsewhere, and the viewer fills in the rest. It helps when the two figures share one direction of attention but not the same gesture; otherwise the scene looks like a repeated casting. It also pays to vary the height of the gaze, that is to stand one figure on the vehicle or on a step.
On a figure about five centimeters tall the viewer notices three things: the face, the outline and the color accent. You clean the outline up by carefully removing the flash from the mold, of which there is usually most on the underside and in the armpits. Build the face in thin coats and let the shadow run under the rim of the helmet. Add the accent sparingly, ideally on a single item of the equipment; more colorful areas break the scene up.
