The item 1:35 Fireman N°4 extends the numbered group of civilian figures. The box holds one figure cast in modeling resin, without paint and without a terrain base. The higher numbers of the line suit those who are building a more extensive scene and need figures with a different carriage of the body.
In a larger scene every figure gets its own role. Someone works at the center of events, another stands a little way off and merely watches the situation, and it is exactly those more distant figures that make a scene believable. Place them so that some of them look out of the base; the scene then does not feel like a closed tableau but like a moment cut out of a larger whole.
A standalone figure needs a groundwork that is not sold with it. The simplest is a thin wooden board with a texture of acrylic paste; while the paste is still wet, push in the pin the figure stands on. Drill the pin into the sole with wire about one millimeter across, or the figure will not stay put on a smooth surface. Before fixing it, check that it stands upright from both views; a leaning figure spoils even a superbly painted casting.
