1:35 Firemen set N°2

The second firefighter set in 1:35 scale

The box 1:35 Firemen set N°2 holds a group of figures in one package. The number in the name indicates that this is the second arrangement of this subject, not the number of figures. The castings are in modeling resin and are supplied without paint; neither groundwork nor hardware is included.

A group instead of single figures

A set saves time on a scene where you are counting on several figures at once. It also removes the usual worry about matching: figures from one arrangement have the same proportions, the same depth of engraving and comparable stylization of the face. That shows above all in an incident scene, where the figures stand close together and differences would be seen immediately.

How to paint the set efficiently

Work the figures in one batch. Prepare them all together, spray a shared base coat and then proceed in layers across the whole group, all the suits first, then all the helmets, the faces last. It goes faster than finishing one figure after another and the scene holds together in color. Add the variety in small things: different soiling of the lower areas, a different shade of gloves, soot on only some of the figures.

Who the set suits

• Builders of incident scenes who need several figures at once
• Modelers of fire service hardware in the most common diorama scale
• Collectors who already have the first arrangement and want to carry on
• Painters who work by painting a whole group in a batch
