1:35 Leaning crewman of a French armored car is a resin figure by Copper State Models in a relaxed pose, leaning against the side of a vehicle or against another support in a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
This stand-alone resin figure in 1:35 scale captures a crewman at a moment of rest, his body leaning against a support. A pose like that is valuable in a diorama: the figure naturally touches the vehicle or a wall and the scene therefore reads as composed, not merely assembled from isolated elements. Copper State Models casts its figures with fine detail in the cloth and the face that comes out once shaded.
The figure represents a member of the French naval infantry with an armored car during the First World War. The French Navy at that time sent its own units to the mainland and some of them manned armored cars. The dress matches the period around the years 1914 to 1918. Because the manufacturer devotes itself exclusively to the equipment and the figures of the Great War, do not mix this figure into scenes from the Second World War, where the uniform would read as an anachronism.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw, do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. Glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue and fill any gaps with modeling filler or a paste made from a two-part putty. Apply a primer before painting, otherwise the paint will hold badly on smooth resin. With a leaning figure, try in advance how exactly it seats against the vehicle and if need be adjust the contact area.
The figure is supplied as an unpainted resin casting. Paints, glue and a base are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
