German Infantry In Wachtmantel is a set of plastic figures of German infantry in winter guard coats in 1:35 scale from Dragon.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of four injection-molded plastic figures of German infantry in heavy winter coats (the Wachtmantel) in 1:35 scale from Dragon. The scene is set at the siege of Leningrad in the winter of 1943 and captures a changing of the guard in deep snow.
The figures portray Wehrmacht soldiers on guard duty on the Eastern Front. They wear heavy guard coats with small variations of kit and various winter footwear, including felt valenki boots and overshoes against the frost. The armament matches the infantry equipment of the day. The treatment is factual and historically grounded.
Separate the parts from the sprues, clean up the mold seams and glue with cement for plastic. Build the skin up in layers, keep the coats in sand to gray-green shades, and add depth with a wash into the folds and drybrushing on the edges. Snow can be suggested with modeling paste or pigment. Finish with a matte coat.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
