An injection-molded plastic set of figures in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The set depicts the crew of the German Leopold railway gun of the Second World War - an officer and several members of the gun crew in working poses while serving the weapon. The figures come with personal equipment and accessories. They are supplied on sprues and have to be glued and painted.
Leopold was a German heavy railway gun of 28 cm caliber (the K5 type), moved by rail and used for shelling at long range. It became best known during the fighting at Anzio in Italy, where the Allies nicknamed it Anzio Annie. The crew of such a gun numbered a good many men, handling the ammunition, laying the gun and loading.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and clean up the parting lines. Glue the plastic with liquid modeling cement. Paint the uniforms in acrylics, use a dark wash in the folds and bring out the edges with a dry brush. Match the poses of the figures to the gun model, so that the hands and tools meet it correctly. A matte varnish at the end will unify the surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
