The designation Kfz.1 did not belong to one particular make but to a whole category of light passenger cars introduced in the German army. Vehicles of this class carried officers, runners and small loads and appeared from the rear areas right to the front-line tracks. The class of light passenger cars took in types with an open body, a simple canvas cover and room for several people. They were not armored vehicles but an ordinary means of transport: they saved commanders time, carried reports and in the rear held the role that a staff car fills today.
An open body means that the inside will be visible, so give it attention before you close the whole thing up. Paint the seats, the dashboard and the steering wheel separately. The paint of the body comes into its own if a smooth base is laid under it, and the wipers, the window frames or the handles are easily brought out with a thin brush. A fine film of dust suits the fenders. The canvas cover, if you build it folded, will get a natural look from a thin layer of matte paint and a fine bringing out of the folds.
The model is unassembled and without paint. Coatings, glue and further accessories are not included, unless stated otherwise.
