An injection-molded plastic kit of the German light tank Panzer I Ausf.A (Sd.Kfz.101) in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The set makes it possible to build the early as well as the late production form of the vehicle and offers a well detailed running gear and a detailed turret with twin machine guns. It is a compact model of one of the first production German tanks of the interwar era.
The Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf.A was a German light tank developed in the first half of the 1930s and one of the first types of the rebuilt armored forces. Its two-man crew was protected by thin armor and the armament consisted of a pair of 7.92 mm machine guns in the turret. It was originally meant to serve mainly for training, yet it appeared in combat in the Spanish Civil War and in the first campaigns of the Second World War, where it quickly ran into the limits of what it could do against armored targets.
First assemble and, if you wish, paint the running gear before you close it up with the fenders and the hull. Glue the parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Apply a primer and the base shade with an airbrush; prewar and early war German vehicles usually carried a uniform gray. Bring out the panel lines and the rivets with a wash and apply pigments to the running gear for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
