A set of water-slide (wet) decals in 1:35 scale from the Swedish manufacturer Star Decals. It offers tactical insignia, turret numbers, crosses and other markings for Tiger I heavy tanks fighting in Italy during the Second World War. The decals are printed on a thin carrier film with faithful colors and a sharp register.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank with an 88 mm gun, which won itself a reputation on the battlefields as a feared opponent. In the demanding terrain of the Apennine Peninsula the Tigers were deployed by independent heavy tank detachments; their vehicles carried a variety of camouflage schemes and tactical numbers, which makes the Italian front a rewarding theme for modelers.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss surface (coated with a gloss varnish), so that no silvering air bubbles arise. Cut the element out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds, slide it into place and blot the excess water away. For perfect adhesion to the detail we recommend a softener. Once it has dried, go over it with a matte varnish.
This is a set of decals, not a model. A kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
