The third part of a series of decals for figures and dioramas in 1:35 scale. The sheet carries designs of armbands, a detail of kit that at this scale measures only a fraction of a millimeter in height. It is an accessory for figures, not a model in its own right.
On a finished figure in 1:35 scale, the viewer's eye settles first on the face and immediately afterwards on the sleeve and the chest. That is exactly where it shows whether the modeler dealt with the kit or merely suggested it with paint. A printed armband with a sharp edge moves a figure up a class and costs a fraction of the time hand painting under a magnifier would take.
The procedure is the same as with the other parts of the series. Paint the sleeve, let it dry and go over it with gloss varnish. Cut the decal out close, soak it in lukewarm water, let it rest and transfer it with tweezers. Once it is in place, apply a softener so that the film follows the folds. If a bubble forms somewhere anyway, prick it with a needle and press it down with a damp bud. Matte varnish over the whole figure at the end. Always work with just one design, because two films in the water at once stick to each other and pulling them apart without damage is practically impossible.
It is a decal sheet, not figures. Figures, paints, glue and varnish are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
