German 8.8 cm Flak crew 1:35 is a set of four unassembled plastic figures of Luftwaffe gunners intended to bring 88 mm anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains four unassembled, unpainted plastic figures representing the crew of the German 8.8 cm general-purpose gun of the Second World War period. The figures wear period Luftwaffe uniforms including helmets and accessories and are captured in natural working poses at the gun. Two 88 mm rounds also belong to the set and complete the scene with ammunition. It is made by the German brand Das Werk.
The 8.8 cm gun was among the best-known German weapons of the war. Originally an anti-aircraft gun, it proved itself in the role of a feared anti-tank and general-purpose gun as well. The crew was a team of several men who handled aiming, loading and setting the fuzes. The poses of the figures match work at the guns of the Flak 18, Flak 36 and Flak 37 series and suit most models of these weapons in 1:35 scale.
Cut the parts off the sprues, clean up the parting lines and join them with cement for plastic. For an accurate placing in a scene we recommend gluing the figures only after a trial arrangement at the gun model. The uniforms come out well after a base coat, highlighting and fine toning effects; faces are helped by gradual layering of skin shades.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
