Decals 1:35 Grille Ausf. H are a set of historical markings for the self-propelled 15 cm heavy infantry gun on the Pz 38(t) chassis, carried under the designation Sd.Kfz. 138/1.

A set of modeling markings in 1:35 scale for the Grille self-propelled gun in the Ausf. H version. The package does not hold a model: the decals are intended to give a finished vehicle the tactical numbers, divisional insignia and other markings that appeared on these machines in the field.
The Grille came about by joining a 15 cm heavy infantry gun to the chassis of the proven Pz 38(t) light tank, production of which ran in Prague. The Ausf. H version carried the gun in an armored superstructure in the front part of the hull, while the engine stayed at the rear. From 1943 vehicles of this type supplemented the heavy infantry gun companies of armored and motorized units: they were to bring the infantry fire support to places a towed gun could not reach quickly enough.
Compared with a tank the Grille is a diminutive machine with an open superstructure, so the free areas for markings are limited and the tactical numbers and divisional insignia tended to sit on the sides of the superstructure and on the front of the hull. That is exactly why it pays to trim the decals close to the design before applying them, so that the glossy carrier film does not reach into the neighboring rivets and edges. Then seal the model with a matte varnish and subdue the markings lightly with dust: on vehicles accompanying the infantry it was dirty practically always.
