The set replaces the wheels of the German Horch type 830R passenger car with a V8 engine, and that in the rendition with Continental tires. A passenger car has smaller and finer wheels than heavy hardware, so every simplification is told on them immediately. A model of the vehicle is not in the package.
Horch belonged among the more luxurious German marques and in the 1930s its eight-cylinder cars were used as representative as well as staff vehicles. The 830R type was built on a proven chassis and ran with civilian owners as well as in the service of the army, the police and other services. In uniform it filled the role of a medium passenger car for commanders and liaison; it was gradually pushed out by purely off-road vehicles, but it disappeared neither from the streets nor from the staffs.
The road tires of a passenger car have a shallow design and a clean sidewall, so the impression depends on the surface rather than on the tread pattern. Leave the rubber matte and slightly grayed, therefore, while the rim may be glossier. If you are building the vehicle in its civilian form, a light stripe on the sidewall of the tire will liven it up; with the army rendition keep to restrained dusting and muted tones. Then unify the fenders with the wheels, so that the transition does not come across artificially.
