1:35 Israeli soldier patrol N°1 is a collector modeling figure of an Israeli soldier on patrol in 1:35 scale from Black Dog, meant for dioramas with ground hardware.
Responsibility details are not available.
The name gives the singular and the sequence designation No. 1, with which the manufacturer tells the individual positions of a patrol apart. The 1:35 scale has long been the most widespread for ground scenes, so the figure matches the height of hardware, terrain elements and diorama accessories in the same scale.
A lone figure has a clear job in a diorama: it gives the scene scale and tells the viewer where to look. It comes off best at the edge of a dusty road, at the corner of a building or at a barrier, where it has a reason to stop and look around. Try placing it where the lines of the base meet, at a marker post, at the end of a curb or where the road changes direction.
First unify the surface with a thin light gray undercoat; on small areas every transition then shows. Keep the uniform in muted sand and khaki tones, shift the webbing a shade darker and bring out the folds with a thin dark paint that runs into the engraved lines by itself. Apply the dust from the bottom upward and reduce it gradually above the knees; that way it looks settled rather than sprayed on.
