Figures in a modern field uniform make sense above all beside armored hardware of the same scale, where they serve as a guide to size and bring an otherwise static model to life. A crew member at the flank of a vehicle or a figure leaning on the armor tells the viewer more about the size of the machine than any label. This text deliberately does not describe any unit affiliation or markings; that is a matter of your own choice when painting.
Before painting, wash the casting in lukewarm water with a degreaser and let it dry. Cut off the casting remains, sand the seams with fine paper and protect your airways while doing so. Uniform fabric in desert conditions looks convincing when the base shade is brightened on the tops of the folds and lightened with dust pigment at the hems. Build the skin in thin coats, leave the eyes until the end and work in good light.
The casting comes without paints and without glue; obtain both separately.
