A photo-etched set of extras for a model of the German Jagdpanther tank destroyer in its late production form, 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jagdpanther was a German tank destroyer of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Panther tank. In place of a rotating turret it was given a fixed superstructure with sloped frontal surfaces, into which the designers built an 88 mm gun with a barrel 71 calibers long. A low silhouette and a fast chassis made it a machine that hid well and changed position just as quickly. The vehicle was built in several successive forms, and the later examples differed from the first series in partial production changes.
Photo-etched metal parts in 1:35 scale for completing a model of this vehicle. Metal sheet holds its shape even at a thickness of tenths of a millimeter, so thin edges, grilles and small mountings look considerably more convincing once finished than plastic parts, which have to be thicker for the sake of manufacture. The make-up of the parts and the places they belong are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not with nippers, which crumple the metal. Make the bends against a straight edge and press along the whole length at once. They are glued with a tiny amount of super glue or with epoxy. Before painting, degrease the surface and apply a base coat, otherwise the paint will not hold on smooth metal and will rub off while you handle the model.
For modelers who build German equipment and want the small points on a vehicle that plastic cannot manage. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
