An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Jagdpanzer IV/70(V) Lang tank destroyer from Tamiya. The model faithfully captures the low armored superstructure and the long 7.5 cm gun. The barrel is molded in one piece, and the surface carries the realistic texture of the cast gun mantlet and of the hull welds. The package contains injection-molded plastic parts and decals with several marking options; check the exact contents on the box.
The Jagdpanzer IV/70(V) represented the peak of the development of the Panzer IV chassis. A powerful antitank gun with a long barrel (70 calibers) was set into the low casemate superstructure, and it could destroy Allied tanks at long range. The letter V marks the vehicles produced by the Vomag company. The machines deployed from the autumn of 1944 as a rule no longer had the antimagnetic Zimmerit coating. The vehicle fought on the Western as well as the Eastern Front, including the fighting in the Ardennes.
With military equipment, assemble and fine-tune the running gear before closing the hull. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and sand the seams. We recommend a base of primer and an airbrush in thin layers. Color modulation suits the armor, followed by washes in the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear. Protect the long barrel while handling the model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
