Painting masks for the markings and lettering on the K-65 Cap aircraft, that is, the Czechoslovak version of the Fieseler Fi 156C Storch, in 1:35 scale. The cut is prepared for the Tristar and HobbyBoss kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch was a German liaison and observation aircraft that became famous for its ability to take off and land on a very short strip. This was made possible by slots along the whole length of the wing leading edge, large flaps and long springy landing gear legs that softened the touchdown on rough ground. After the Second World War aircraft of this type were also built in Czechoslovakia under the designation K-65 Cap, meaning stork, and they flew here for a number of years afterwards.
These are painting masks for the markings and lettering, that is, for elements usually handled on a model with decals. A sprayed marking has no glossy carrier film, forms no step on the surface and tolerates even a broken-up base, which is useful above all on fabric surfaces with raised ribs. The cut is prepared for the Tristar and HobbyBoss kits in 1:35 scale. The extent of the sheet, the number of options and the exact position of the individual elements are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
The masks are applied before spraying, not after it. Let the base shade harden properly, and only then lay the mask on and press the edges down carefully so that paint cannot creep under it. Apply the paint in several thin coats, as one heavy coat is apt to bleed. Take the mask off while the coat is still fresh, or the edge of the paint may tear away with it.
The set will please builders who want their markings sprayed and want to avoid the glossy edge of a decal. The package contains the masks; paints, glue and kits are not included, unless stated otherwise.
