A resin figure in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bravo 6. It is a figure on its own of a German war reporter standing and filming with a hand-held movie camera; a bag for the battery and a holster for a pistol on the belt are part of the casting. The set is neither a kit of a vehicle nor of an aircraft but an accessory for dioramas and display case compositions.
Hard modeling resin holds sharper relief than injection-molded plastic, so the folds of the uniform, the straps, the buckles and the small kit all stand out on the figure. The figure is conceived as an accessory to a vehicle or to the construction of a scene in the ordinary diorama scale of 1:35, where it serves as a feature of scale and of action. The camera and the bag give the composition a plainly legible function even without further accessories.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the remains of the release agent from the mold are removed, or the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutter and sand the surfaces; carry out the sanding of resin wet and with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate super glue, and the seams can be filled with a thicker cyanoacrylate with a filler. Apply a thin primer before painting. Build the uniform up from a darker base to brightened edges, build the skin up by layering glazes, and at the end use a wash into the folds and unify the surface with a matte varnish.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
