A set of precise metal individual track links in 1:35 scale for models of the Soviet KV-5 and SMK heavy tanks from the Friulmodel brand. It is not a tank kit but a detail accessory that replaces the tracks from the original kit. The package holds 230 metal links and wire for the connecting pins.
The SMK and the KV-5 project were among the Soviet heavy tanks of the end of the 1930s and the beginning of the 1940s. The prominent running gear with its massive tracks is characteristic of their appearance, and it is there that the quality of a build shows most.
The individual links are joined with pins made from the wire enclosed into a fully workable track, which sits naturally on the wheels and sags slightly. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with primer, otherwise the paint will hold poorly. Then paint the tracks in a combination of dark steel and brown and bring them out with pigments for mud and dust effects.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
