An Eduard photo-etched detail set for the M-12 GMC in 1:35 scale. A metal accessory for refining the kit of the American self-propelled gun, not a stand-alone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of photo-etched metal parts from Eduard meant to refine the plastic kit of the American M-12 GMC self-propelled gun in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle but a detail accessory that replaces thicker plastic features with thin photo-etched parts. The scope of the set is given by the enclosed instructions.
The M-12 GMC was an American self-propelled gun of the Second World War, which carried a heavy 155 mm gun on a chassis derived from a medium tank. It served for fire support and for destroying fortifications, above all after the Normandy landings, and it had an open fighting platform with a large recoil spade at the rear.
Separate the photo-etched parts from the fret, bend them on a bending tool and glue them with super glue. The open platform lends itself well to fine details, so detail and paint it section by section. Apply a primer before painting; for weathering use a dark wash into the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant to complete an existing kit.
