An accessories set for the model of the American M29C Weasel amphibious tracked vehicle in 1:35 scale. An accessory to a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M29 Weasel was an American light tracked vehicle for terrain in which an ordinary truck got stuck: snow, mud, soft sand. Its wide tracks gave it a low ground pressure and with it the ability to get through where others bogged down. The M29C version was additionally given floats at the bow and the stern and rudders, so it could handle a water obstacle too. It was used for supply, for liaison and for casualty evacuation.
This is an accessories set for the M29C model in 1:35 scale. It is precisely on a small vehicle that was used as a workhorse for all sorts of jobs that the loaded equipment makes up a large part of the final impression. An empty cargo area looks like a display piece, whereas a few well placed items turn it into a machine that is being used for something right now.
First lay the parts out dry and try the composition; only then glue them. Cut the surplus material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the rest off. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Paint the accessories separately and fit them only onto a dried primer coat. With the amphibious version it is worth bearing in mind that the vehicle tended to be wet and caked with mud thrown up by the tracks, so combine the kinds of dirt side by side rather than laying just one of them over the whole model. The small pieces are easier to hold when glued to a stick. The exact extent of the package is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The vehicle kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
