Eduard 1:35 M-7 Mid production deep water fording eq. is a photo-etched set of deep wading equipment for a model of the American M7 Priest self-propelled gun in the mid-production version in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched brass set adds the equipment for wading deep water to a model of the American M7 self-propelled gun in the mid-production version in 1:35 scale. That equipment let the vehicle drive out of landing craft into the shallows during amphibious operations.
The M7, nicknamed Priest, was an American self-propelled gun with a 105 mm howitzer on a chassis derived from the Sherman series of tanks. For a landing the vehicles were temporarily fitted with trunks on the intake and the exhaust and with further covers, so that the engine would not draw in water while driving through it. After the landing the equipment was removed.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, shape them on a bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the trunks and the sheets separately and add the assembly to the model after the hull is painted. For a realistic look after a landing, traces of salt, water and mud can be suggested with a wash and pigments.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
