An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M109A6 Paladin self-propelled howitzer in 1:35 scale from AFV Club. The set offers turret hatches with a choice of open and closed position, working torsion bars and suspension, a movable metal barrel and photo-etched parts. A decal sheet is included as well. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The M109A6 Paladin is the modernized version of the American 155 mm self-propelled howitzer introduced from the 1990s. It brought a new turret, a more accurate gun, safer ammunition stowage and improved propulsion and running gear. The Paladin is one of the most advanced versions of the long-established M109 family.
Assemble and test-fit the running gear and the suspension before closing the hull. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic and glue the photo-etched and metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting and spray with an airbrush. The underside and the tracks reward washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
