This extensive injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale represents the American main battle tank M1A2 SEP Abrams with the TUSK package. It is a 2-in-1 model with a complete interior: one box lets you build either the TUSK I or the TUSK II configuration. The box holds a great many parts, photo-etched parts, a workable running gear and link-and-length tracks.
The M1 Abrams is an American main battle tank powered by a gas turbine. The M1A2 SEP version is an upgraded variant with improved electronics and protection. TUSK, the Tank Urban Survival Kit, is a package of add-ons for fighting in built-up areas: add-on reactive armor for the sides, belly protection, a machine gun shield and other items that raise the survivability of the tank in close terrain. TUSK II adds a further level of protection over TUSK I.
Finish and paint the interior and the running gear first, and only then close up the hull. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. For the patina use washes and pigments for mud and dust effects, and an airbrush will make the color transitions easier. Given the number of parts and the interior, this is a more demanding build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
