A resin weapon set in 1:35 scale containing four pieces from the family of American M203 underbarrel grenade launchers. It is an accessory for figures and dioramas, not a stand-alone model. The precisely cast parts faithfully capture the characteristic look of the launcher mounted under a rifle barrel. Sets of this type tend to come with fine etched parts.
The M203 is a single-shot 40 mm underbarrel grenade launcher fitted under the barrel of rifles of the M16 family and M4 carbines. It replaced the older stand-alone M79 and let a soldier carry an assault rifle and a grenade launcher at the same time. It became standard armament of American and many allied units and is in use to this day.
Separate the small resin parts carefully from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and sand them with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The weapons come out once the metal and plastic parts are painted and the wear is lightly brought up.
This is an accessory (weapons), not a figure model. Figures, glue and paints are not included in the package.
