M23 Armament Subsystem 1:35 is a resin detail set of the door machine gun armament subsystem from the manufacturer Bravo 6. It is not a model of a helicopter but an accessory to one.

A detail accessory in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bravo 6, cast in resin and complemented by photo-etched parts. It is not a kit of a helicopter but a set of the M23 armament subsystem on its own, that is the door mount with machine guns, which is added to a finished model. A color assembly guide is included as well.
The set covers the support tubes and struts of the mount, the pintle mounts, M60D machine guns, ammunition chutes and ammunition boxes. The machine guns are complemented by photo-etched parts, which make it possible to work up the thin features that cannot be cast in resin - sights, trigger mechanisms and similar details. The assembly is intended for models of American helicopters of the Vietnam period in 1:35 scale.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent and cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc. Carry out the sanding of resin wet and with respiratory protection. The resin as well as the photo-etched parts are glued with cyanoacrylate super glue; with photo-etch a thin variant and precise dosing with a wire prove themselves. Anneal the photo-etch only carefully before shaping and bend it over a sharp edge or in a bending tool. It is best to paint the whole assembly before gluing it into the model - once installed, the insides of the chutes and the ammunition boxes are hard to reach. Graphite powder pigment and light rub-through on the edges bring the metal surfaces to life well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
