Turned metal 75 mm M2 L/31 and 37 mm M6 barrels for the M3 Lee and Grant tank in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer MASTER replace the plastic barrels of the MiniArt kit.

This is not a tank kit but a metal detail accessory for a model in 1:35 scale. The set contains turned brass barrels for the short 75 mm M2 gun with a barrel length of 31 calibers and for the 37 mm M6 turret gun. The set is cut for the kit from MiniArt; the same barrels are also made in versions for other kits, so check which one you own before you buy. A metal barrel has a hollow muzzle and a straight axis, whereas a plastic part is split lengthwise, loses its roundness once the parting line is sanded away and is often noticeably bent in this scale.
The M3 Lee was an American medium tank of the early 1940s with an unusual armament layout: the main 75 mm gun was mounted in the right-hand side of the hull with limited traverse, while the smaller 37 mm gun sat in a rotating turret. The British Army used its own version, designated Grant, which differed in the shape of the turret. Early production carried the shorter 75 mm M2 gun, later replaced by a longer weapon. The tank saw action above all in North Africa and became a transitional type before the Sherman was introduced.
Cut the plastic barrel off as close to the block as possible, square the face up with a file and open the hole out with a drill so that the metal part slides in without pressure. Glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) applied drop by drop, as ordinary cement for plastic will not bond metal. Degrease the metal with alcohol and spray it with primer, otherwise the paint will rub off when handled. On the hull gun, check the elevation dry before the glue sets. Finally, darken the muzzle with a thin wash or a pigment so that it does not read as shiny metal.
This is an accessory, not a tank model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
