A photo-etched detail set from the Czech maker Eduard for the American M4A3E8 Sherman medium tank in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but a detail accessory. The set adds fine photo-etched parts such as covers, grilles, brackets and other small items that lift the base plastic model to a higher level of fidelity.
The M4A3E8, nicknamed Easy Eight, was a late version of the famous Sherman with the new HVSS suspension with wider tracks and a longer 76 mm gun. It was committed in the closing stages of the Second World War and later in the Korean War as well, and it is among the best-known variants of this tank.
Separate the photo-etched parts and make the bends on a bending tool. We recommend working in sections and gluing the fine grilles with cyanoacrylate glue over small areas at a time. Degrease the surfaces and prime them before painting. Once painted, the panel detail stands out when brought up with a wash.
The accessory does not contain the model itself, the glue or the paints. It is meant to complete an existing kit.
