This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer AFV Club captures the early form of the American M60A2 tank, nicknamed Starship. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit meant to be glued together and painted.
The M60A2 was a variant of the M60 Patton tank with a reworked low turret armed with a combined system built around a 152 mm weapon able to fire conventional ammunition as well as the Shillelagh guided missile. For its advanced technology of the day and the low, futuristic profile of its turret it earned the nickname Starship.
Assemble the running gear and any interior first, before you close up the hull and the turret. Use liquid cement for plastic. Once sprayed with a primer, paint it with an airbrush; the bottom of the hull, the tracks and the running gear come to life with dust and mud pigments, and a wash will bring out the panels and the rivets.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
