Weighted 1:35 resin wheels with the Michelin XL tread for the M923A1 Big Foot truck from DEF Model. Replacement parts for a model, not a kit in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin wheels in 1:35 scale from DEF Model, intended for a model of the American M923A1 military truck with the large single tires that earned it the Big Foot nickname. The wheels are cast weighted, that is with a flattened contact area, the way a vehicle looks standing under its own weight. The tread matches the Michelin XL type given in the name. This is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory that replaces the plastic parts from the box.
The M923A1 belongs to the family of American five-ton all-wheel-drive trucks. The version nicknamed Big Foot is recognized precisely by its large single tires on every axle instead of duals at the rear, which improves mobility in soft terrain. On this vehicle the wheels make up a substantial part of its characteristic silhouette, so their quality matters a great deal on a model.
Wash the castings first in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, level the surface with abrasive paper and protect your airways while doing so. Resin is glued exclusively with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting, choose a matte dark gray rather than black for the tread and do the dusting with pigments or a dry brush. With large wheels it pays to paint them separately and to fit them to the model last. Check the fit of the hubs against the parts of your own kit beforehand.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
