The photo-etched set of the Czech maker Eduard serves to refine and complete the details of a plastic model of the German Marder infantry fighting vehicle in the 1A2 version in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of the vehicle but a set of photo-etched parts. The metal parts replace coarser plastic features and add details of the exterior.
The Marder is a German tracked infantry fighting vehicle (Schützenpanzer) brought into service with the Bundeswehr in the time of the Cold War. The 1A2 version brought a series of modernizations of the equipment and of the protection. The vehicle was armed with a 20 mm cannon and carried an infantry squad under armored protection.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend them on a bending tool and glue them with super glue. Degrease the metal surfaces before painting and lay down a base coat of primer. Apply dust effects and weathering only once the vehicle is finished.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model of the vehicle. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
