This item is not a model but an accessory for a modeler who already owns the plastic kit. It holds photo-etched brass parts from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale and is cut for the Tiger Model 4628 kit. The scope of the package and the number of frets are given on the box of the set.
The Revolution designation belongs to an upgrade concept for the Leopard 2 tank, whose second stage develops further the features shown on the first demonstrator. It is a set of changes aimed at the protection and situational awareness of the crew in built-up areas: modular add-on armor, a remote controlled weapon station, observation cameras and revised electronics. The basic construction of the vehicle derives from the Leopard 2. The exact configuration differs between the individual machines shown.
With photo-etched parts it pays to plan the order of work before you start gluing. The parts that belong inside the hull, on the floor of the fighting compartment or behind the engine mesh have to be fitted before the assembly is closed up, otherwise you will no longer reach them. Equally, large photo-etched surfaces such as covers and side panels are glued to a finished and sanded plastic structure, not to part-built sections that will still move. Small clamps, grab handles and chains, on the other hand, should be left right to the end, ideally until after the base painting, because they are easily knocked off while the model is handled. A dry test of every part before the glue goes on will save most of the trouble.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit, which it does not include. The glue, paints and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
