A set of photo-etched brass side skirts for the Russian T-90A main battle tank in 1:35 scale. It is a detail accessory from Voyager Model that replaces the simplified plastic track covers on the Meng TS-006 kit with more faithful thin-walled parts. It is not a kit of the tank.
The T-90A is the upgraded version of the Russian T-90 main battle tank with a welded turret. The side skirts (fartuki) protect the running gear and the upper part of the tracks against splinters and shaped-charge munitions, and at the same time they cut down the dust thrown up while driving.
Carefully separate the photo-etched skirts from the fret, bend the thin sheet slightly if you want a realistic sag, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut away the matching plastic parts on the model before fitting. Lay down a primer before painting and weather the surfaces with dust and mud effects.
The set does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant for finishing and bringing out the detail of a Meng TS-006 kit you have already built.
