A set of individual track links in 1:35 scale from Tamiya, intended for a model of the Panther medium tank in the Ausf.D version. The single links are glued and, once set, joined into faithful runs with a realistic sag and pattern. As a replacement for one-piece tracks it brings more convincing detail to the running gear.
The Panther Ausf.D was the first production version of the German Panther medium tank of the Second World War. The characteristic wide tracks with their prominent guide horns were among the typical features of its running gear, and this set captures them faithfully.
Glue the links with cement for plastic, let them set briefly and then join them into a run that can be made to sag faithfully over the return rollers. It is best to assemble and paint the running gear before closing up the hull. The tracks take washes and pigments for mud and dust effects very well.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit of the tank on its own. It is supplied unpainted, without paints or glue.
