Panzer III/IV chevron non-skid tracks 1943/1945 1:35 (Friulmodel)

This is NOT a tank model but a set of metal (white metal) assembled tracks from Friulmodel. It offers individual track links with the chevron non-skid pattern used in the period from 1943 to 1945, for models of the German tanks Panzer III and Panzer IV in 1:35 scale. Metal tracks increase the realism of the running gear and, thanks to their weight, settle naturally onto the wheels.

Use

• A replacement of the original plastic tracks by metal assembled links
• The chevron pattern matching the tracks of 1943 to 1945
• The links are joined with the supplied wire into a workable run
• Intended for Panzer III and Panzer IV models in 1:35 scale

Tips for working it

Clean the links, thread them onto the supplied wire and trim and secure the excess wire. It is worth degreasing metal tracks before painting and applying a primer suitable for metal. Once painted, the tracks come into their own with washes and pigments that bring out the recesses of the pattern and add convincing mud and dust effects. The work is finer and takes longer; more experienced modelers will appreciate it.
