The late pattern of the cast base of return rollers for the Panzer IV in 1:35 scale, for vehicles from the end of production.
Responsibility details are not available.
Running gear rollers for a model of the Panzer IV in 1:35 scale. Unlike the numbered variants of the same line, this one is defined by a period: the name marks it as late. The package deals with a single assembly of the running gear, not the whole build.
Toward the end of production simpler solutions took hold on German vehicles: less machining, fewer shape transitions, quicker assembly. The return rollers and their mountings went through that too, and their later form looks coarser than the older pieces. For a modeler that is a practical guide: anyone building a vehicle from the last series reaches for the late shape, anyone building an older machine for one of the numbered ones. The difference is not dramatic, but on a model looked at from close up you will tell it.
Spray the rollers before the track is fitted, while you can reach them from every side. After the base color it is worth darkening the space around the hub and, on the contrary, lifting the upper edge with a dry brush. Let the primer dry thoroughly while you are at it. The running gear tends to be the dirtiest place on a vehicle, so settled dust and mud in the lower part look natural. Cyanoacrylate glue is a safe bet on parts like these.
