Lead glazing comes about by setting small panes into a lead grid. The resulting net of diamonds or rectangles is unmistakable even from a distance, and in 1:35 scale it can only be rendered believably by a flat subject, because the individual strips at their real thickness would come out at a few hundredths of a millimeter.
This is a printed accessory for a diorama in 1:35 scale with a subject of glazing of that kind. It replaces the laborious cutting out of a grid and gives a window a uniform look over its whole area. How many fillings belong to the item, how large they are and how they are fitted are given in the manufacturer's instructions. First measure the window opening and put the accessory against it dry; by shifting it a little way to the side you will often find a section that fits better. Apply the glue around the perimeter and in a thin layer, so that it does not seep into the area the viewer looks at. The glue suitable for the material supplied and any shortening to size are dealt with by the manufacturer's instructions. Take the dust and the fingerprints off with a soft brush before fixing it, because afterward you will no longer get to the area.
The accessory is aimed at builders of dioramas with historic buildings, yards and farm structures in 1:35 scale. It will serve just as well on a whole facade as on a single window in the corner of a scene. Even a beginner will manage it, because the work calls for neither bending nor sanding.
