A printed diorama accessory in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit of a building but a flat wooden floor pattern meant to be laid into the interior of a structure, into the collapsed shell of a house or under the figures in a scene. In dioramas with a damaged building the floor is often the largest continuous area the viewer has in front of him, and scribing the planks by hand over such an extent takes more time than everything else put together. A printed pattern replaces that step.

Where it fits

It comes into its own in interiors with a wall exposed or the roof torn away, where the floor is visible from above, and just as much in rooms meant to tell the story of abandonment in a diorama - overturned furniture, fallen plaster, scattered fittings. It is also easy to work with when you are building a scene in parts and need to divide an area into several rooms. The numbered range allows several versions to be used in one object, so that the drawing does not repeat.

Usage tips

• Cut the openings for fallen beams or holes in the floor out before you fix the area down.
• Cut with a new blade along a metal rule and keep the pressure moderate.
• Pour the rubble and the plaster dust only in the places where they would really have fallen - under a wall and under a ceiling.
• Leave part of the area clean; the contrast between fouled and bare wood livens a scene up.
• Before varnishing the whole area, test how the surface reacts on an offcut.

It is meant for builders of dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale, especially those who build scenes in damaged buildings. Even a less experienced modeler will manage it; the only demanding part is the accuracy of the trimming.
