Tracks are very visible on a tank model and often decide whether the build looks credible. The set offers replacement tracks in 1:35 scale for the two most widespread German medium tanks of the Second World War, the Pz.Kpfw III and Pz.Kpfw IV, whose running gear shared a number of common features. The designation type 3b distinguishes the particular link pattern, of which several took turns during the war; reach for the one that matches the version and period you are building.
A replacement run is usually crisper than the one from the kit, especially on the inner face of the link and on the guide horns, in other words exactly where it is visible from below and between the wheels on a finished model. How the run in this set is designed and by what procedure it is assembled is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down. Parts that are not polystyrene hold with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wash and degrease the run before painting. Fit it only onto an assembled and test-fitted running gear; the wheels have to be in one plane, otherwise the run rides up on one side. On these types the upper run is carried by return rollers, so the sag is only slight and should not look like a slack chain.
The tank model, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
