A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale for a model of the German PzKpfw VI Tiger heavy tank, focused on markings from the year 1944 and designated in the name as the first part of a series. It is not a kit but markings for a model that is already painted. Check the number of schemes, the list of particular machines and the size of the sheet on the packaging; further parts of the same series exist as well, and they differ from this sheet in content.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War with slab-shaped armor, a wide turret and an 8.8 cm gun. For a modeler it is interesting in that its flat side surfaces give the markings plenty of room and at the same time take a patina well. By 1944 various ways of camouflaging and marking machines of this type were commonly appearing, so a separate decal sheet makes sense even with a model that contains decals of its own.
Coat the areas under the markings with gloss varnish, otherwise bubbles appear under the film and the edges turn white. Cut the decal out close to the design, dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest until it starts to slide on the paper. Settle it with a brush, draw the excess water off with the tip of a paper towel and use a softener, so that the film is drawn into the rivets and the seams. Once it is perfectly dry, unify the model with a matte varnish and only then apply dust, mud and streaking.
It is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints, varnish and softener are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
