This detailing set from DEF Model combines resin and photo-etched parts and stowage for a model of the German Pz.Kpfw.35(t) light tank from the Academy kit in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit on its own but an accessory that raises the fidelity and the level of detail of the base model; besides the stowage it brings fine parts that replace thick-walled plastic items.
The Pz.Kpfw.35(t) was a light tank of Czechoslovak origin (the LT vz. 35) taken into German service. It was used at the start of the Second World War; the riveted construction of the hull and turret is characteristic. In the field these vehicles were usually loaded with kit and stowage, which gives a model a lived-in look.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up; bend the photo-etched parts on a photo-etch bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), and photo-etched items can also be fixed with gel cyanoacrylate. Paint the stowage separately and weather it with washes and pigments; riveted surfaces come out well after a dry brush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
