RSO / PAK 40 is a plastic kit of the German tracked tractor with an anti-tank gun in 1:35 scale from Italeri.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German tracked artillery tractor RSO (Raupenschlepper Ost) together with the 7.5 cm PaK 40 anti-tank gun in 1:35 scale from Italeri. The set pairs a light tracked vehicle with one of the most widespread German anti-tank guns of the Second World War. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Raupenschlepper Ost came about as an answer to the heavy terrain and the climate of the Eastern Front, where wheeled vehicles bogged down in mud and snow. The simple tracked tractor served to carry supplies and to tow guns. The 7.5 cm PaK 40 gun was the standard German anti-tank weapon, able to destroy most Allied tanks at usual combat ranges.
On a tracked chassis, assemble and paint the running gear before the hull is closed. The tracks and the wheels call for careful cleaning up. For a true look we recommend a primer base, camouflage shades sprayed with an airbrush and weathering with mud and dust effects, or pigments on the lower areas. The gun can be built movable and displayed both in the towed and in the firing position.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
