An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Northrop P-61B Black Widow night fighter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The B version was marked by a lengthened forward fuselage and further changes compared with the first production version.
The Northrop P-61 Black Widow was the first American aircraft designed from the outset as a dedicated radar-equipped night fighter. It had a distinctive twin-boom layout, a substantial central nacelle for the crew and the radar, and heavy armament. It was committed to action at the end of the Second World War in the Pacific and in Europe. It was named Black Widow after its dark night finish.
A thin plastic cement is recommended; deburr the parts and sand the glued joints. The model suits the gloss black or dark finish typical of night fighters; an airbrush helps to achieve a smooth surface. Apply a gloss coat before the decals and unify the look with a matte coat at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
