The set 1:35 Rubber Lady comes from the figure production of the Bravo 6 brand. It is a casting in modeling resin in 1:35 scale, that is an accessory for a diorama rather than a model of a vehicle in its own right. Bravo 6 gives its sets authorial, figurative names, so the contents of the package are stated only on the box.
Casting resin makes undercuts and relieved shapes possible that an injection mold cannot manage: freely hanging fabric, separate straps, small items of equipment. The result is a casting with markedly sharper detail than the plastic figures from an ordinary kit. The price is fragility and the need to work with superglue, so the set belongs rather in the hands of a modeler who has already built something in resin.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap so that they are rid of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and refine the surface with a file or with abrasive paper used wet — sanding resin dry creates dust that should not be breathed in. Glue the joints with superglue and fill small gaps with modeling putty. Start the painting with a thin primer, otherwise the paint peels off the smooth surface. Build both the flesh and the fabric in layers: a base tone, a dark wash in the recesses, light on the high points. Finally, even the surface out with a matte clear coat and leave the sheen only where it belongs.
