An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian 2S35-1 Koalitsiya-SV KSh wheeled self-propelled gun in 1:35 scale from the maker Trumpeter. The model faithfully captures the eight-wheeled chassis of the KamAZ-6560 heavy truck (8x8) as well as the unmanned turret with the 152 mm howitzer. The box contains rubber tires, masking film for the windows and basic photo-etched parts. Check the exact contents against the details on the box.
The 2S35-1 Koalitsiya-SV KSh is the wheeled version of the Russian Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled artillery system. Unlike the tracked variant it uses the chassis of the KamAZ-6560 truck with all eight wheels driven, which gives it higher road mobility and a lower cost at the price of poorer cross-country ability and weaker armor. It carries an unmanned (remotely operated) turret with a 152 mm howitzer and belongs among modern systems with an autoloader.
It is a sizeable model — work in subassemblies (the chassis, the cab, the turret). Paint and pick out the running gear and the interior of the cab before you close them up. Do not glue the rubber tires with an ordinary cement for plastic. Once the clear coat and the decals have been applied, emphasize the panel lines with a wash and add dust and mud pigments on the chassis and the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
