An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:35 scale from Rye Field Model. The model captures the T-80UK command version, derived from the modernized T-80U tank. The box holds workable (movable) tracks made of individual links, photo-etched parts, clear parts and copper wire. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The T-80UK is the command variant of the Russian T-80U main battle tank, powered by a gas turbine. Compared with the ordinary combat tank it additionally carries extended command and communications equipment, a navigation set and further systems for commanding a unit. It carries a 125 mm smoothbore gun and is protected by composite and reactive armor. It is among the most capable Russian tanks of its generation.
On armored vehicles, finish and paint the running gear before you close the hull. Assemble the workable tracks from the individual links and leave them movable. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic, the fine photo-etch and the antennas with cyanoacrylate glue, and use the copper wire for faithful cable runs. Apply a primer and paint with an airbrush; a three-color camouflage or uniform green is typical. Bring out the recesses with a dark wash, the broken armor with dry brushing, and dust the running gear down with dust and mud pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
