A brass photo-etched set from Voyager Model in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the tank but a pack of thin brass parts aimed at the fenders and track covers of the T-55AM medium tank. Thin brass sheet looks truer than thicker plastic parts. The set is intended for the Takom 2041 kit.
The T-55 was a widespread medium tank of the Cold War period. The upgraded T-55AM version added, among other things, applique armor and an improved fire control system. The fenders and track covers protected the running gear and caught dirt; on real vehicles they were often bent or damaged.
Separate the brass parts with a sharp knife on a hard mat and bend them in a photo-etch bender or along a ruler. For fidelity the fenders can be bent slightly or given a hint of damage. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and apply a base coat suitable for metal before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
